Jack Dunn

Jack is one of our busiest guides. You can count on Jack to be on the water almost everyday in the spring, summer and fall, fishing for walleyes or trophy smallmouth bass.
Jack has been fishing Minnesota waters all his life. For the last 25 years, Mille Lacs has been his home away from home. Jack started tournament fishing 20 years ago, and has been guiding since 1992.
Jack is accomplished at several styles of fishing, including live bait rigging, spot on the spot bobber fishing, and trolling spinners on deep-water structure.
Jack is a three time “National Team Championship” qualifier. In 1998, Jack finished second in the U.S.F.A. “Team Walleye” Minnesota Championships, and 7th at the National event in Stockton Missouri. He and his partner ended the year 3rd overall in the Minnesota Team Walleye circuit. Jack has numerous top ten finishes in MTT (Minnesota Tournament Trail) events, as well as in other tournaments held on Mille Lacs, and was featured on Sportsman’s Quest, which was aired on ESPN, competing in a N.A.W.A. tournament held here on Mille Lacs, in 1998!
Jack’s biggest joy is sharing a day on the water with our customers, and sharing his knowledge and understanding of the lake with them.
Jack is on the Pro Teams of both Mercury Marine, and Yar-Craft Boats.

Jeff Hanson
I got my start fishing at an early age with my dad and grandpa. I have been professionally guiding clients for 10 years on Mille Lacs Lake, getting my start in ‘98 under the mentorship of Terry McQuoid.
I have spent around 100 days on the open water most of those years, sometimes more. My favorite methods and fish change throughout the season. Early in the year I love nothing more than rigging up on the sand for walleyes.
By Memorial day, I want to be rigging out on the mud. Then around mid-June I’ll start pulling some spinners or bobber-fishing deep rocks and gravel on windier days and rigging the mud when it’s calmer. By mid-July, I’m spending more time bobbering on breezy days. By this time of year I’ll also begin Smallmouth bass fishing on the reefs. August is my favorite month for bobber fishing for walleyes and by the end of August I’m spending a lot of time Muskie fishing and then more and more throughout the fall.

Tim Ajax

I live in Isle, Minnesota, with my fiancée Katie and three kids John, Mary Jo and Samantha. My dad got me hooked on fishing as a youngster. I’ve been fishing the big pond for over 2 decades, with the last 10 years as a professional guide and competitor in many Walleye tournaments.
On your guided trip, you will be fishing in a 20’ Tuffy Tiller powered by Mercury with Lowrance electronics. I will provide you with professional and courteous service along with a great learning experience for tactics and strategies on catching more fish from Opener to late fall. Most of all I want everyone’s trip to be fun and memorable. All rods, reels, etc are top notch and provided. The Tuffy can take 1 to 3 people comfortably. I am generally be very flexible for even last minute trips. I prefer to talk with you or your group prior to meeting at the landing for the first time to work out details and prepare for weather and wind.
My Walleye tournament resume consists of several top finishes over the years, including back-to-back 2nd place finishes in Hunters Point 2007, Red Door 2007, and 9th place in the 2007 FLW Pro Am. My strengths as a guide are trophy Walleyes, Muskie's, and Northern Pike.
